Tina
Tina is a multidisciplinary designer and illustrator with over a decade of experience in animation, gaming, and tech. A graduate of Art Center College of Design, renowned for producing industry leaders in transportation design, illustration, and entertainment art, Tina went on to bring her creative vision to companies including Warner Bros. Animation, Meta, and Zynga, working across concept art, illustration, and visual systems. At Lei's Art Studio, Tina helps students see how artistic skill translates directly into exciting, real-world careers.
TeacherJulie
TeacherJulie is a graduate of Parsons School of Design, a leading art and design institution in the world. She went on to work under designers Catherine Malandrino and Carla Westcott in New York, and designed for Black Label in Seoul. She encourages creativity and helps each student grow their artistic voice.
Kelvin Lei
FounderKelvin is a classically trained fine artist from Guangzhou, China, where he studied under two of the country's most celebrated portrait masters. His work has been represented by galleries in Hong Kong, Carmel, and Palm Desert, California. At Lei's Art Studio, Kelvin brings his foundation-first approach to every class — the same approach he credits for his own lifelong career in art. His students have gone on to some of the most competitive art and academic institutions in the country, including UCLA, USC, Art Center College of Design, Rhode Island School of Design, CalArts, Otis College of Art and Design, Brown, Stanford, MIT, SVA, and SCAD.
Rick Lacy
A graduate of the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York City, one of the country's premier institutions for illustration, animation, and design, Rick Lacy built his name as lead character designer on Adult Swim's cult hit The Venture Bros. and contributed storyboarding work to the beloved How to Train Your Dragon: Race to the Edge series. He has since forged an extensive career as an Art Director across major titles in gaming and entertainment, including Harry Potter: Puzzles and Spells, FarmVille 2, Covet Fashion, and Oregon Trail. At Lei's Art Studio, Rick brings serious industry depth and a passion for visual storytelling to every class.
